OTHER RESOURCES

Environmental Health Decisions: Activity and Lesson plans

  • The activities are comprised of a four-step process aiming to create a model of nature and human activities. The model is then used to build a complete list of six environmental health variables and human impacts. These variables are used to understand the complexity of environmental health and appreciate the difficulty of environmental decision making. (Secondary school level, but adaptable to university level.)

Learning for sustainability: Systems Thinking

  • The LfS site highlights on-line resources for those working with complex issues. It showcases the wide range of activities, skills and processes that collectively support constructive engagement, co-design, adaptation, and reflective practice.

NetLogo

  • NetLogo is a multi-agent programmable modeling environment for students, teachers, and researchers worldwide. It can be used for activties like participatory simulations.
